Kosher Restaurant Review: Great Neck Grill

Great Neck Grill - OK Kosher Certification, Chassidishe Shechita, Pas Yisroel
613 Middle Neck Road
Great Neck, NY 11023
(516) 498-8881

The most sought after Chinese restaurant in Great Neck recently changed its kosher certification! Formerly under the Vaad HaRabbonim of Queens, Great Neck Grill is now proud to be certified by the internationally recognized OK Kosher Certification. Great Neck Grill serves only Chassidishe shechitas and has a mashgiach temidi on premises at all times.

In addition to its strict kashrus standards, Great Neck Grill features authentic Chinese dishes, which appeal to the most discerning palate. Great Neck Grill is the ideal place for a date, family outing, business meeting, or lunch/dinner with friends. Reasonable prices, combined with good service and outstanding dishes make Great Neck Grill the perfect place for your next meal out. Great Neck Grill also has a take-out menu, perfect for making a "Chinese Shabbos!"

1) This is not a Chinese restaurant. It is Persian restaurant.
2) The supervision change was because the owner also owns a non-kosher restaurant, which is unacceptable to VHQ.

The supervision change was the sole choice of Great Neck Grill. The restaurant received a new contract from VHQ and chose not to renew it. Instead, they chose a new certification. This was publicized to the local shuls, along with the appropriate documentation.

In cities with smaller Jewish populations, kosher dining is often limited to just a single establishment. Some cities do not have any kosher dine-in facilities, but the small communities have other arrangements for Jewish residents to obtain ready-made kosher meals and other types of food that may be hard to obtain kosher otherwise.
